About event

The University of Sao Paulo invites students, researchers and concerned in Museology, Arts Theory and Criticism and Technologies to participate for the I Symposium on Virtual Exhibitions of Collections that will happen on December 2, 2014, at the Auditorium of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the USP, at the Cidade Universitária.

All registered participants will receive a certificate of participation. The discussions will result in a text for the USP Review of Culture and University Extension and address a reflection on the advent of Digital Arts Platforms in the light of the following analytical categories: design and curatorial proposal, technologies, partnerships and evaluation of results.

Graduate in Social Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo (1970), MA in Sociology from the University of Sao Paulo (1978) and PhD in Sociology from the University of Sao Paulo (1986). Full professor at the University of Sao Paulo (2005) and Pro-Rector of Culture and University Extension (2010).

Associate professor at the University of Sao Paulo, lecturer, PhD and MA in Controllership and Accounting from the College of Economics, Administration, and Accounting at USP. Experience in Financial Markets, acting on the following topics: disclosure, corporate governance, sustainability and the stock market.

Guilherme Andrade Marson
Professor at the University of Sao Paulo Institute of Chemistry since 2008. He graduated BA in chemistry from the same institute in 1996 and master in organic chemistry in 1999. In 2003 completed PhD at the same institution with a focus on learning objects development.

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of Sao Paulo (1982), holds a MA in Architecture and Urban Planning at the Graduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism at the School of Engineering of Sao Carlos, University of Sao Paulo (1999) and PhD in Philosophy and Sciences Methodology at the Graduate Program in Philosophy at the Federal University of Sao Carlos (2006).

BA in Computer Science from the USP, MA in Computer Science from the UFSCar and PhD in Computational Physics from the USP. Operates in the following areas: Cybernetics, Microelectronics, Reconfigurable Hardware, Image Processing and Signs, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, RFid, MRI, Visual Arts and Electronic Art.

UFABC professor

Percival Tirapeli
Professor at the Arts Institute of UNESP (2008), MA (1983) and PhD (1989) from the School of Communication and Arts at USP, and bachelor's degree (1975 and 1976) in Design and Plastic and Arts Education from the Faculty of Fine Arts Sao Paulo. He has experience in arts, focusing on painting and art history, author of 15 books on Brazilian art and specialist in the Baroque period.

Antônio Carlos Sartini
He is superintendent of the Portuguese Language Museum since 2006. Bachelor of Law, has been a member of the State Councils for Culture, Film and Advisory of the Sao Paulo Symphony Orchestra. He was curator of the International Shows of the Sesc Dance Biennial in the city of Santos and for more than six years was technical director of the Department of Cultural Formation of the Secretary of Culture of the State of Sao Paulo (1996-2002).

She is historian, critic, curator, cultural manager and researcher in the field of Contemporary Art. Graduated in Philosophy from the University of Sao Paulo, has MA and PhD in Communication and Semiotics from the Catholic University of Sao Paulo and Post-Doctorate from the Pennsylvania State University (USA) and UNICAMP.

Luciana Conrado Martins
Graduated in History from the University of Sao Paulo (1997), MA in Education from the University of Sao Paulo (2006) and a PhD in Education also from the University of Sao Paulo. She conducted doctoral training, with a scholarship from CNPq, at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Master in Museology from the University of Valladolid (Spain).
